The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) assists in educating student athletes and creating an environment that promotes healthy choices about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. The CHOICES program provides funding for NCAA member institutions and conferences to integrate athletics into efforts to reduce alcohol abuse on college campuses. Support is provided for the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective campus-wide alcohol education and prevention programs. CHOICES projects must be collaborative efforts that include athletics and other campus organizations. The application deadline for 2008 is February 15. Visit the website listed above to download application guidelines.
