Dear Kan-ed Desktop user:

Now through June 30, 2008, Kansas schools can save money on additional
resources delivered through the Empowered Desktop by Kan-ed. Don't miss
your chance to participate in the 2008 Kansas State-wide Purchasing
Program! This program is available only to Kansas schools using the
Empowered Desktop by Kan-ed. Signed purchase orders must be received by
June 30, 2008.

The following applications are available through the program:


- Atomic Learning for technology training and professional development.


- LS Teacher Pages is a simple, easy-to-use website-creation and
blogging tool. It integrates fully with the Empowered Desktop by Kan-ed
and makes it easy to create school and teacher websites.
 
- The LS Test Builder Direct Connect connects assessment results in LS
Test Builder with standards-aligned remediation resources in netTrekker
di. For only $199 you can link directly to relevant instructional
resources. And, as we develop and add other Direct Connect links, you'll
receive access free of charge if you purchase Direct Connect before June
30. 


- Typing Pal is a fun and interactive keyboarding program.


- P.E.T. is used to identify students' learning styles, providing
teachers with great information and resources for differentiating
instruction.


- OWL Literacy and A Whale of a Tale are great online literacy programs
for use with younger students.
