Dear Kan-ed Member:
We are pleased to inform you about the Kan-ed Commercial Broadband
Connectivity Subsidy program for 2006. Funds should be used as stated
on your Kan-ed application for the Subsidy and can be used only to
maintain or upgrade your institution to a faster Internet connection
speed (broadband). You shall not use these funds for equipment,
training, or software.
The amount of the subsidy will be the same as last year, an amount up
to $3000. K-12 schools and libraries that are Kan-ed members are
eligible to apply. Hospitals that are Kan-ed members that have not
signed up to participate in the recent Hospital Initiative may apply.
Higher Education institutions that are Kan-ed members and have not
signed up for the Higher Education Initiative may also apply.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM, April 21, 2006.
You may click on the following link that will take you to the
application form that you will fill out online.

Once you have completed the online form you will be able to download and
print a document. This document will contain instructions regarding how
to complete the rest of the application. The document will also require
your signature in two places. Once you have completed those documents,
you may mail them or fax them to Kan-ed. The Kan-ed address and fax
number are listed in that document. You will also find a link to this
application at the Kan-ed web site
